💡
I use a regular eating spoon for measuring, which is a bit smaller than a standard tablespoon. Feel free to use measuring spoons if you’d like—as long as you keep the ratio, it’ll turn out just fine. Also, don’t pour in all the sauce at once! Add it little by little and adjust to your taste as you go. Hope you find the perfect flavor for you :)

🛒 Ingredients (2 serving)
- 400ml water
- 300g rice cakes (I prefer miltteok 밀떡, which are made with wheat flour and have a slightly different texture from regular rice cakes, but you can use either!)
- 2 fish cakes
- 2 eggs
- 1 green onion
- 2 spoons gochujang
- 1 spoon gochugaru
- 1/2 spoon MSG
- 4 spoons corn syrup (or rice syrup)
💰 Total: $3.3 for 2 servings
📄 Directions
- In a pot, add the water, gochujang, gochugaru, and MSG. Stir well to dissolve.
- While the sauce comes to a boil, cut the fish cakes into bite-sized pieces and boil the eggs separately.
- Once the sauce is boiling, add the rice cakes, fish cakes, and boiled eggs.
- As the sauce starts to thicken, add the corn syrup and chopped green onion.
- Simmer over medium-low heat until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
